Back on the scene we have Dez Melenka, the CTV news reporter who showed off 2 striking dresses that we layered with vests and cardigans earlier this season. This week, we styled two more casual outfits that used two important prints for the 2014 fall season: camouflage and plaid. These looks capture a very Canadiana, outdoorsy vibe, but with a stylized twist! Outfit #1 | Camo Cutie
Let’s be real, it’s no secret that Albertans love their camouflage print. If you want to incorporate this hot trend, we suggest elevating the camo pattern by opting for a softer fabrics or a more fitted cut - to maximize the femininity of the garment. We love this camo cargo by Michael Kors because they can be dressed up or down with either a flat or heeled shoe. We kept the rest of the look neutral with a ¾ length sleeve top in black and added an amazing open toed bootie.

Outfit #2 | Fire Starter
The second look is based around this perfect plaid shirt by Rails LA, which is our pick as a 2014 fall essential. We layered it with this fiery cami and a washed denim skinny jean, which we cuffed, to show off the tweed boots. Dez loved how all the fabrics and colors came together to create an effortlessly cool cottage inspired look, that is perfect for a weekend out, or a (ultra chic) trip to the mountains. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without this midnight blue leather moto jacket by Doma, and a great pair of TOMS aviators.
Cami: C’est Moi cami $20

Jacket: Doma leather jacket in dark navy
Boot: Ugg ‘Kioni’ tweed boot $225
